La Rioja Festival
La Rioja Festival is the main project of Cuerdas en Común, providing sustainability to the rest of the programs.
A festival by and for the people of La Rioja with an international focus. Every May, discover and experience the heritage, history, nature, Camino, gastronomy, and wine of La Rioja through musical experiences across its geography.
Support for the Guitar
Each year, Cuerdas en Común commissions the composition of a new guitar work, which is premiered annually at La Rioja Festival and in the U.S. as part of our efforts to expand our repertoire and composers internationally. The association also undertakes various actions to promote and defend the classical guitar and its cultural value.
Educational Project Without Borders
We bring music to young people through professional artists. We want children to enjoy themselves while progressively acquiring musical and artistic knowledge in a fun way. Additionally, each session includes activities to foster values such as responsibility, respect, solidarity, honesty, and teamwork, encouraging children to practice these values at home and in their educational environment.
Serenade to Your Values
Serenade to Your Values (Serenata a tus Valores) is a surprise tribute to people who represent “silent heroes.” These individuals quietly, consistently, and without seeking the spotlight, carry out selfless work for the benefit of others, embodying fundamental values that transform society. Accompanied by approximately one hundred volunteer musicians of all ages, we aim to highlight and express our gratitude for the important work they do.
